Instagram Stories
I am the lead designer for Rue La La's verified Instagram account. Our account has over 100k followers and we post two daily in-feed and 3-4 stories a week. These stories align with the on-site sales and include links to drive customers to our website. It's important for each story to fit into our current design direction while remaining fun, unique, and most importantly "thumb-stopping".
This story aligned with a fragrance sale. I cropped into one of our studio shots for the title, and then created an aligning backdrop for the following slides that highlighted scents chosen by our Beauty Team. They asked me to highlight the fragrance notes as well as the brand/product descriptions.
At the end of 2022 we ran a sale of our "top trends" for 2022. For the aligning story, I created 4 "starter packs" (one for each trend) combined with a fun firework background. Each slide linked to the featured products.
This was another story that highlighted specific products. November and December are the most important months of the year for Rue La La, and we run a lot of gift-themed messaging on our social media during that time. I used festive colors and imagery for this story to turn up the "Christmas factor" because the copy did not specifically call it out. I'm proud of how beautiful and clean this story plays.
